Over 10 years of experience in architecture, design and development management with leading international firms managing various mixed use developments in the Middle East. My recent professional experience includes development management with Nakheel Retail/Retailcorp World working on various shopping center and retail projects from 2004 to 2010. Prior to Nakheel my experience includes design and development of five star hospitality projects across the region with HBA from 2002-2004.

My responsibility in Nakheel involved development management of some of Nakheel Retail Shopping Malls’ major developments. As Senior Development Manager and head of design and architecture, I have been involved in managing the development from vision planning through to master planning to execution and strategically creating opportunities to maximize asset Values.

 In my latest role as the head of design and architecture department in Retailcorp world during the economical crisis era, I oversaw the design and master planning of Retail brands, re-planning and re-strategizing the development projects of the existing, planned and developing shopping malls within the portfolio of Dubai World companies to correspond with the revised company strategies and financial targets.

My education background is Business and Architecture. I am currently undertaking a PhD research on risk and success factors of developing shopping malls in the Middle East through Tongji University in China. I hold a bachelor’s degree in architectural design from University of Kansas, Masters in Business administration (MBA) and executive masters’ degree in Leadership from Harvard Business School. I completed my PMI certificate from Boston University. I have passed a series of certified executive programs with Harvard Business School in Real Estate Management, Designing and Executing Strategies and Negotiations. I have completed a certified executive program of Corporate Leadership from Harvard Graduate School of Design as well.

I am an active participant on the program committee for the international conference of shopping centers and guest lecturer at the 2A “Designing for Sale” and “sustainable developments” conferences in Dubai and a number of conferences in Tehran, Iran.
